Mark was born and raised in the United States, where he attended Brookline High School in Brookline, Massachusetts. He later graduated from Brandeis University and the MIT Sloan School of Management. Pearlman was among the executive team that launched the Fox News Channel under Roger Ailes in 1996. In addition, he held various management positions at CBS, such as vice president and business development. He also helped build a Metromedia Company owned by John Kluge, where he served as Vice President of Market Strategy.

In 2012, her recommendations on how to avoid a “Jewish fiscal cliff” were published as op-eds in The Jewish Week and the Jewish Journal.
