Maya Elaine Higa is American conservationist, falconer, wildlife rehabilitator and Twitch streamer. She is the founder of Alveus Sanctuary, a non-profit exotic animal sanctuary and virtual education center based in Austin, Texas. Before that, Elaine had more than 250,000 followers on her Instagram account.
Elaine was born and raised in California, United States. She attended California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in agricultural education and communication in June 2020. Maya started her own career by streaming her Twitch account in 2019. The channel features various activities such as music and falconry , and spreads conservation awareness. Her account of hers started to grow after a falconry video of her young red-tailed hawk named Bean went viral on Reddit.
