Michael Hennessey is an American journalist working for FOX 8 WGHP in Greensboro and Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He served WCTI-Newschannel 12 in eastern North Carolina as a reporter for the Greenville office.
This is where his career and passion began. For 11 months, he worked as a cameraman and commentator for Rede Nordeste de Esportes. For another 7 months, he worked as a news correspondent and sports writer for Caledonian Record.
He has developed a reputation based on trust by sharing some of the region’s most impactful stories. From natural disasters to animal attacks, Michael was leading FOX 8’s national coverage of major crimes.
Hennessey is an alumnus of University of Northern Vermont. During his time he was known as Lyndon State College. In 2012, Michael received his BA in Television Studies from the university.
