Mike Armstrong is a Canadian journalist who currently works as a National Global Correspondent in Quebec. He has been with Global National since it first aired in September 2001. As Quebec’s national correspondent, he has covered stories in every corner of the province.
Mike’s work has also taken him beyond Quebec to cover some of the biggest stories of this generation. He covered the tsunami in Indonesia, Hurricane Katrina in the Gulf and the earthquake in Haiti. Armstrong is proud to say that he has had the opportunity to report to every province in Canada.
Like any other journalist, there is always that one story we are remembered for. One of the highlights of Mike’s career was in 1997 during the Quebec ice storm. He happened to be one of the few reporters who were sent to investigate how the families were handling the incident.
