Mike Feinberg is co-founder of the Knowledge is Power Program Foundation.
The foundation includes 125 public charter schools in twenty states, where the majority of students come from low-income families. Currently, the foundation has helped so many students that 90% of them graduated from high school and 80% went to college.
Mike graduated from University of Pennsylvania and later joined Teach for America, where he taught fifth grade for three years. After that is when they co-founded the KIPP Academy Houston with David Levin.
In 2006, Mike am Dave won the Roger Horchow Award 2006 (Jefferson Award) for highest public service. In addition, he won a honorary degree from Yale University, The Thomas Fordham Price for Valor Foundation, the Charles Bronfman Prize, and Presidential Citizen Medal.
