Mike Flannery is an American journalist who currently works as a political reporter for FOX 32 News in Chicago, Illinois. Prior to joining his current station, he served as a correspondent, political reporter and analyst for CBS 2 News in Chicago for a period of nearly 30 years. He covered major events for the Chicago Sun-Times for seven years before finally transitioning to television in 1980.
Additionally, he covered the 2010 presidential election, several secondary elections held in different states, and various political controversies surrounding the Republican and Democratic parties.
Mike finished high school and elementary school in his hometown of Washington and later attended and graduated from Georgetown University. At the university, he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in political science and communication.
