Mike McCall is an award-winning American broadcast meteorologist who currently serves as the Chief Meteorologist for WCTV News based in Tallahassee, Florida. He is also an AMS accredited meteorologist who always reports the weather around 5:30pm to 6pm daily. Mc Call covered various weather updates such as severe flooding, blizzards, thunder and hurricanes in Florida and the United States.
McCall was born and raised in the Florida suburbs as the only child in his family. He grew up as a very bright and intelligent boy who graduated with a great GPA from a private high school in his hometown. He then enrolled at Florida State University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science and Meteorology degree with a minor in communications.
McCall began his career covering live reports from the field. He was able to cover the infamous Boston hurricanes, Hurricane Katrina, Hurricane Irma and other terrible hurricanes that happened in the early 2000’s. McCall also edited and analyzed various weather data from different sources and provided the on-air weather anchors with accurate weather reports during that period.
