Biography of Mitch Blacher
Mitch Blacher is an American journalist who currently works as an investigative reporter for NBC10. You can watch reports from him during the 5pm and 11pm news. Prior to joining NBC10, Mitch served as an investigative reporter at KGTV in San Diego, California. His origins in Philadelphia go back to his family’s immigration to the United States.
Mitch is a seven-time Emmy Award winner and was awarded by the Society of Professional Journalists as well as the Radio Television Digital News Association.

Likewise, Mitch and the team of Investigators were honored with the award Sigma Delta Chi Award from the Society of Professional Journalists for an investigative series called “Failing at Fire Drills,” which uncovered recurring failures of school, city, and state officials responsible for the safety of schoolchildren in Philadelphia and Pennsylvania.
