Molly Qerim is an American journalist who currently works as a television personality and host of ESPN’s First Take. Prior to that, she worked as a host for the NFL Network morning show, NFL AM and NFL Fantasy Live.
Born in New Haven, Connecticut, she grew up in Cheshire, where she attended and graduated from Cheshire High School. She later attended the University of Connecticut where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and a major in business administration. Qerim didn’t stop there, she went on to earn a master’s degree in broadcast journalism from Quinnipiac University.
After graduation and a few jobs here and there, Molly finally landed a spot on the CBS Sports Network as an anchor and reporter. She later became a studio anchor where she hosted the SEC Tailgate Show, SEC Tonight, MaxPreps Lemming Report and Full Court Press. Furthermore, she covered the UFC in her time with ESPN.
Furthermore, she has covered multiple Super Bowls, the presentation of the Heisman Trophy, the NBA draft and the MLB All-Star game. Molly became the host of ESPN2’s First Take in mid-July 2015. With that, she replaced Carl Champion, who was promoted to ESPN’s flagship show, SportsCenter. Most notably, Molly was promoted to permanent host of First Take on September 15, 2015.
