Nancy Cox is an American journalist who serves as a news anchor for WLEX-TV in Lexington, Kentucky.
Cox started out as a reporter and producer at WKYT-TV and became one of the most popular and well-known anchors in Lexington television history before joining WLEX as a reporter and anchor. She quickly became the main anchor and played a key role on LEX 18, becoming the One Rated Newscast position.
Nancy was honored with the prestigious Edward R. Murrow Award, 4 Emmy Awards, and several Kentucky Associated Press Awards such as “Best Anchor” honors. Cox represented friends of hers as Governor of the National Academy of Television Arts and Science Ohio Valley Region and is now serving in leadership as Trustee of the National Academy.
Cox attended Western Kentucky University where he majored and majored in English and broadcasting. In 1990, she introduced her beloved home state at Miss America Contest.
