Nate Griffin is an American journalist who currently works for KRIVE-TV, Fox 26 Morning News Houston, as a general reporter and sports analyst. Despite joining Fox 26, he has spent over 25 years covering high school, college and professional sports in and around Houston on television, radio and digital media.
Griffin began his career as a producer, weekday reporter and anchor on KTRH 740 AM in 1989. Nate also worked as a college basketball announcer as a radio and television color analyst for high school and college football and basketball broadcasts during this time. .
Additionally, the experience led to a position as a weekday reporter and weekend anchor at KBMT-TV, an ABC affiliate in Beaumont, Texas. He served as a web reporter for the Houston Texans in addition to his other duties as a college football and basketball color analyst for regional and national TV networks. The former southern Mississippi player is currently in his 12th season as a color analyst for Rice Owls football broadcasts.
