Nestor Mato is an American journalist currently working as a reporter for Good Day Orlando on FOX 35. Born and raised in Miami, Matou has worked as a reporter for TV stations in Miami and Fort Myers.
Most recently, he was a political and news reporter for NBC Boston and its regional channel, NECN. While there, he covered several key stories, including New Hampshire Elementary School 2020 and interviewed several presidential candidates and members of Congress. Additionally, he was in New England during the early part of the pandemic and covered how the virus changed the world.
During his first report on Sunshine Sunshine State, he followed several hurricanes along the Florida coast and was in Parkland for a wall-to-wall coverage of the Majority Stoneman Douglas School shooting. His reporting career, however, began in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas, where he told stories along the US-Mexico border.
