Nick Ciletti biography
Nick Ciletti is an Emmy Award-winning American journalist who currently works as an anchor and reporter at ABC15 since joining the station in July 2014. He presents the station’s morning news from 4:30 am to 7:00 am. As an anchor, he helped viewers experience some of Arizona’s most historic and impactful moments. Some of those moments include a statewide teachers strike over the death of Senator John McCain.
After his career, he exposed a Valley attorney who was caught on prison surveillance physically abusing an inmate. Most notably, he won an Emmy for his reporting on the deadly shooting at Independence High School, where he interviewed family members who lived with their iPhone. In another incident, his reporting from Mexico put a human face on the immigration crisis, where he profiled a father from the Valley who had just lost his asylum application.
Furthermore, he traveled to Florida to cover Hurricane Irma. He also reported from the front lines of the deadly Woolsey Fire in Southern California. A native of Arizona, Nick graduated from the University of Miami School of Communication. While there, he majored in Broadcast Journalism and Spanish. Other formal credentials he holds include a certificate in US Immigration Law from American University and is currently working on his online Master’s degree from the University of Southern California’s Gould School of Law.
As a cancer survivor, he loves to give back. When he’s off duty, he loves spending weekends with his French Bulldog rescue Larry. He is an avid traveler and enjoyed a good walk in the Arizona Sun.
