Nicole Fierro’s biography
Nicole Fierro is an American journalist who currently works as a reporter at KDVR-FOX31 Denver, Colorado. She joined the station in September 2019 as a multimedia journalist. She’s excited to call Mile High City home.
Previously, Fierro served as a reporter and anchor on NBC 15 News | WPMI-TV in the Mobile, Alabama area. Fierro is from the east coast, she is from Greenwich, Connecticut. Nicole joined the University of Maryland College Park where she received a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism.
While at university, Nicole interned at the NBC 4 New York’s I-Team, NBC 4 Washington, like this NBC News Channel learning all he could about the future of journalism.
Fierro established himself covering the murder of 11-year-old Gannon Stauch. Despite worldwide network and media acknowledgment of this case, Stauch’s biological family told her they rely on her relentless coverage to hear about progress in the pursuit of justice for their son. Additionally, Stauch’s stepmother, accused of the boy’s murder, spoke privately to Nicole in the days leading up to her arrest.
Prior to joining FOX31 and Colorado’s Own Channel 2, Fierro served as a reporter and anchor in the Mobile, Alabama area. While there, she received her first Edward R. Murrow Award with her news team for General Excellence.
In addition, Fierro worked for two years as a reporter and anchor in Tri-Cities, Washington. Nicole loves sharing stories and telling people what they need and deserve to hear. Furthermore, nothing can stop it from ensuring that taxpayers know and understand where the money is going.
In his spare time, Fierro loves hiking, all kinds of fitness classes and spending time in the kitchen embracing his Italian heritage.
