It all started with guest roles in TV series, which may not sound like much, but that’s how Noah Emmerich grew his career and has since carved out a niche for himself as a force to be reckoned with in Hollywood.

He began with guest roles in popular television series such as NYPD Blue and Melrose Place, with his role as FBI Agent Stan Beeman in the FX series The Americans being his most notable. The actor was born on February 27, 1965, in New York as a son of a Jewish family with Konstanz as the mother and André Emmerich as a father. While his mother is a concert pianist, his father earned his living as a gallery owner and art dealer. Perhaps Emmerich would have been born in Germany if his father had not fled with his family because of the unrest in the country. The family first stayed in Amsterdam, Netherlands, before settling in New York in 1940.

Noah Emmerich has brothers who are not movie stars, but who are doing well in their chosen career. Toby Emmerich is president and chief operating officer at New Line Cinema and also a screenwriter. Adam Emmerich, on the other hand, is a partner at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz in New York. He also specializes in mergers and acquisitions.

Noah Emmerich received his early education at Dalton School and graduated in history from Yale University with a degree. As a teenager, he began to build himself up for the entertainment industry when he learned to play the trumpet and privately studied Meisner acting techniques under the guidance of Ron Stetson, an actor/director.

The actor later started his acting career in the movie Beautiful Girls, which was critically acclaimed. The audience as well as the film critics applauded his performance and paved the way for further roles which were included in the movie. Emmerich was able to get some supporting roles in movies like The Truman Show, Life, and Frequency.
