Payton Malone is an American meteorologist who currently works as a morning weather forecaster at WWL-TV (an affiliate of CBS) in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States of America. He joins WWL-TV in September 2019 from WXXV-TV in Gulfport, where he worked as a morning weather forecaster.
Payton was always a focused child and knew she wanted to be a meteorologist when she was 6 years old. He remembers growing up and always glued to the TV and used to wonder what the weather was going to do. Before he even knew it, the weather had already become an obsession and he later pursued a career in meteorology.
Malone is a highly educated person. He attended and graduated from Vernon College in 2012, having joined the college in 2010. After graduating from Vernon College, he enrolled at the University of Oklahoma. He later graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Geography and a Minor in Meteorology.
