Pete Christy is an award-winning American journalist who currently works as a sports anchor, reporter and director for KCBD-TV since September 2004. Prior to joining his current station, he worked as a sports producer and reporter for CN8, the Comcast Network.
After his career, he returned to Lubbock after spending seven years in Philadelphia. He worked for Comcast Networks in Philadelphia, holding the positions of Sports Reporter and Anchor. While there, he covered the city’s sports teams, Flyers, Eagles, Phillies, and 76ers. However, his passion was anchoring and reporting on his favorite sport, boxing.
In the Mid-Atlantic region, his sporting challenges known as “I Beat Pete” were immensely popular as he pitted spectators and celebrities in the game or sport they played. It is an opportunity to present non-traditional sports like Sled Hockey and many others.
