Poorstacy is an American musician and rapper whose music blends hip hop, punk rock and heavy metal. As of 2022, he has released two studio albums and two EPs. Furthermore, he was featured on the Grammy Award-nominated Bill & Ted Face the Music soundtrack.
He was inspired to listen to rock and play guitar playing Guitar Hero. His local metalcore added to his inspiration and Miami’s underground hip-hop scene. He later began performing live with his band in the local heavy metal, punk rock and goth rock scenes.
Furthermore, he started uploading music online on SoundCloud. For his debuts, he had several aliases, including Lito Xantana, Vizion, and Scarybrats. He eventually took on the stage name “Poorstacy” in reference to skateboarder Stacy Peralta.
He released the song “I Can’t Sleep” with Iann Dior as a single on January 31, 2020. His debut album The Breakfast Club was released on March 13, 2020 but was originally planned to be released on March 7, 2020. February. was featured in the Fame on Fire song “Headscape” on June 12, 2020. He recently released the single “Party at the Cemetry.
