Rachel Michele Nichols is a prominent American sports journalist and presenter currently working for Showtime Sports. Mostly, she is notable for her work with the NBA, which earned her the “Sports Personality/Studio Host” award at the 2021 Sports Emmy Awards. In 2022, Michele resigned from her position at ESPN after 16 years with the network. Throughout her career, she has covered major sporting events including the National Hockey League, Baseball, Basketball, Soccer and the Olympics, professional tennis.
Nichols was born and raised in Potomac, Maryland, United States, where she attended Winston Churchill High School. After high school, she enrolled at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism, where she received a bachelor’s degree in journalism.
