Richard Eisen is an American sportscaster and radio host currently with the NFL Network. He also hosts a daily sports radio show called The Rich Eisen Show. Additionally, Eisen has worked for the network since joining in 2003 and has hosted various shows such as halftime, pre-game, and post-game. Furthermore, he is known for his appearances on NFL Total Access, NFL GameDay Morning, Thursday Night Football and many other programs. Richard is a writer and producer, known for Draft Day, The Kid and That’s My Boy.

Furthermore, he was born in Brooklyn and raised in Staten Island, New York City. Thereafter, he attended a local high school in his hometown and later enrolled at the University of Michigan. During his time there, Rich worked as the co-sports editor for the school’s Michigan Daily and was a member of the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity. In 1990, he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and soon after furthered his studies at Northwestern University. There he received a master’s degree in journalism.

Shortly after graduation, he began his career as a writer for the Staten Island Advance and later worked at the Chicago Tribune. After that, he joined KRCR-TV in Redding, California as an anchor and sports reporter. Furthermore, he also worked as a correspondent for Medill News Service’s Washington. From 1996 to 2003, Rich worked as an anchor and reporter for ESPN before joining the NFL Network. Eisen was part of a comedy duo with Stuart Scott and was known for his sense of humor. In addition, he also worked as a host for ESPN’s reality series Beg, Borrow & Deal.

Eisen has also worked for different shows such as The Tony Kornheiser Show, The Dan Patrick Show and CBS Radio Show. Two years later, the show also moved to The Roku Channel, where it was located on Sirius XM satellite radio and internet streaming. The show is currently available on Sirius 216, XM 202 and SXM 992 app channel. In 2022, Richard also earned an Outstanding Studio Show Sports Emmy Award nomination. In addition, he also appeared as a guest star in five episodes of the Disney TV series The Might Ducks: Game Changers.
