Rich Tettemer is an American journalist who currently serves as the morning and midday New Edition news anchor for WWLP in Massachusetts. He joined the station in 1988 as sports director. So Rich worked his way up to his current position. Prior to the WWL, he spent a few years working as a weekend sports anchor and reporter for KODE News based in Joplin, Missouri. Tettemer even spent a few years working as a sports editor for WFLA News in Florida.
Rich was born and raised in the suburbs of Tampa, Florida. He grew up as the only child in his Native American family of Caucasian descent. Rich completed his high school and high school education in his hometown. From there, Tettemer enrolled at the University of South Florida, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in mass communication and broadcasting.
Tettemer began his career as an intern at WFLA News based in Florida. He was then hired full-time as a sports editor at the station.
