Later, Ricky formed a band with Michael Bivins and Ronnie DeVoe as BBD, which later became one of the most popular acts of the 1990s and the pioneer of what became known as the “New Jack Swing” sound. The group released their first album Poison in 1990 and their second album Hootie Back three years later. The next album is BBD, which was released in 2001.
