Rob Hughes is a veteran American journalist who currently works as a morning anchor for Wake Up Atlanta every weekday from 4:30am to 7am. He joined CBS46 from WCNC in Charlotte, where he went from sports reporting to anchor news.
A native of the Midwest, Hughes grew up in Indianapolis and graduated from Purdue University with a BA in Economics. He later pursued his dream of being a sports reporter and earned a master’s degree in journalism from Indiana University.
Immediately after his graduation in 2011, Rob joined WISH-TV in Indianapolis as an intern at the Department of Sports. After a few months, he moved on to act as an intern on ESPN 1070 The Fan for four months. Rob transitioned to the role of sports photographer at WISH-TV between August 2011 and November 2011.
Her first broadcast job was at Kansas First News in Topeka, Kansas, where she worked as a weekend sports anchor between November 2011 and August 2013.
