Rob Sneed is an award-winning American journalist who currently works for WGN-TV as a general reporter. He joined the WGN News staff in July 2020.
He previously reported for NBC4 in Columbus, Ohio. At NCB4, he spent more than three years working on ‘breaking news’, also discovering issues affecting the community and working to find solutions. Prior to that, Sneed worked for stations in Cleveland, St. Louis, Ohio, Missouri, Dayton and Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Sneed was honored with the 2017 Ohio Associated Press Award for Best Investigative Reporting for his coverage of the way inmates’ GPS devices are monitored. Furthermore, Sneed graduated from Ohio State University.
