Rodney Carrington is an American comedian, actor, and country music artist. He has released six major label studio albums and a greatest hits package on Mercury Records and Capitol Records. Most of his songs are recorded in a neo-traditional country style. Carrington’s comedy act typically combines stand-up comedy with original music. Furthermore, he also starred in the ABC sitcom “Rodney” and the 2008 movie “Beer for My Horses”.
Rodney’s first album was released in 1998, Hanging with Rodney, on Mercury Records Nashville. The album consisted of stand-up comedy and original songs. For his next album, 2000’s Morning Wood, he moved to Capitol Nashville. It was her first Top 20 album on the US country charts and her first gold-certified recording. This took him to the singles charts for the first time with “More of a Man”. Also, after that came the live album, Live: C’mon Laugh You Bastards.
