Ryan Browne is an American journalist who currently works as a tech reporter for CNBC in London, covering a wide range of subjects from fintech to video games. Previously, Browne served as a national security reporter for CNN based in Washington, D.C., from December 2015 to January 2021.
Furthermore, Ryan was an MBA intern at Rakuten in Tokyo, Japan. He also worked as an integrated advisor to the Afghan National Army with the NATO training mission, ISAF, for two years in Afghanistan.
Browne also served as a project officer and senior consultant at the Afghan National Defense University for two years. Additionally, from September 2008 to August 2011, Ryan served as Director of International Security Studies.
Additionally, in 2013, Browne received the Outstanding Award of the National Academy of Afghan Army Officers. In addition, in the same year, he received a certificate of recognition for exceptional service for the Afghan Nation from the Afghan Ministry of Defence.
