Samantha Cortese is an American journalist who currently works as a digital multimedia journalist and co-anchor of KTLA’s digital “5 Live”. A native of Palm Desert, Cortese joined KTLA5 on KGUN-TV news in Tucson, where she was a morning anchor.
Cortese graduated in Chapman University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in broadcast journalism. She also participated california state university at Fullerton, where he studied Broadcast Journalism and Sexual Health and Relationships.
Samantha began her career as a morning show producer and web editor at KPSP-TV. After working for two years, she joined KESQ, CBS Local 2 and KUNA as a morning reporter. Cortese was later promoted to serve as the station’s morning news anchor in 2014.
Furthermore, in 2016, she landed on KGUN 9, serving as the anchor for KGUN9 On Your Side’s Good Morning Tucson morning news. In 2018, Samantha left the station to join KTLA, where she currently serves as a co-host of KTLA’s news and talk show 5 Live.
