Samantha Gannon is an American journalist who currently works as a Sportscaster for KDFW FOX4 in Dallas. Her role is to serve as a sports anchor and reporter in the major sports market. She grew up watching Cowboys games in the early 1990s. Although she is not a Patriots fan, her Boston loyalties remain firm with the Celtics, Red Sox, and Bruins.
After dropping out of swimming at the University of Connecticut, Gannon had a void that needed filling, and to that end, she decided to pursue journalism. After graduating, her first on-air opportunity came in 2011 when she moved to Lake Charles, LA, to be a weekend sports anchor at KPLC. Her experience there was excellent and life-changing.
She later moved to OKC, where she spent six years working as a weekend sports anchor and reporter for KOKH-TV FOX25. Covering two major D1 programs in Oklahoma and Oklahoma State was incredible. Through it all, OKC became a second home for her, but she knew it was time for new ventures. Gannon had always wanted to cover the NFL, and now she gets to do that with the Cowboys.
