Sandy Miller is an Emmy Award-winning American journalist who currently serves as an anchor and reporter for FOX 2 KTVI News Detroit. Previously, she served as a news anchor and reporter for KPLR News from 1995 to 1998. Sandy further gained fame and experience working as a news anchor and TV show host for Anheuser-Busch. Miller now hosts FOX 2’s morning and evening newscasts.
Miller was born and raised in Lake of Ozark in central Missouri, USA. She completed high school in her hometown. From there, Sandy enrolled at Missouri State University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Media with a minor in Journalism and Communications. She won the Miss Missouri beauty pageant in 1984 while in college.
Miller began his career working as a reporter and anchor for STIHL News for over ten years. There she was able to cover live news coverage from various places and cities across the United States. Miller left the STIHL and joined KPLR News as a nightly co-anchor. It mainly aired the 9 pm news every day.
Miller also spent three years working as Director of Marketing at Klar Communications before joining KPLR News. Therefore, she edited her own news coverage on KPLR. Sandy left KPLR in 1998 and joined KTVI News in 2002 as an anchor and reporter. During her days off, Sandy enjoys traveling to Los Angeles, New York, Hawaii and DC.
