Sara Shookman is an American journalist who works as a co-anchor on WKYC-TV. She joined the station in June 2015, where she served as a general reporter and later became an anchor. She co-hosts the station’s nightly news at 6pm and 11pm alongside Russ Mitchell.
Previously, she worked as a multimedia journalist and was later promoted to live morning reporter and anchor on the WVLT, WBXX. Furthermore, her career started in Athens, Ohio, where she worked as a one-man-band reporter and multimedia journalist for WOUB Public Media. After working for this station, she was promoted to one-man reporter, anchor, and producer.
