Sasha Jones is an American journalist who is best known for helping consumers with their issues as part of the NBC6 Responds team. She enrolled at Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, MI where she later graduated in 2010. Jones enrolled at Lee Honors College where she majored in Film, Video and Media Studies and majored in English and African Studies.
She was an anchor and reporter for GPSU from December 2010 to March 2011. In addition, she was also responsible for the newsroom’s on-camera presentation, feature stories and interview segments for a monthly magazine video show. Jones was also an anchor at WXVT, Greenville, MS from March 2011 to July 2012, where she performed as a one-man band on run and presented live stories daily. She also covered the 2011 Great Flood on the Mississippi River. She later won an AP Award for Best Documentary Series for a series on school segregation.
She also worked as a reporter at KSLA, Shreveport, LA from July 2012 to July 2014. There, she created the business series “Sasha on the Streets” where she ran across Shreveport. From July 2014 to May 2018, she worked as an investigative reporter at WMC, Memphis, TN. Most notably, she is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists as well as Kappa Alpha Sorority.
