Her maternal grandmother is also having Hawaiian and Filipino descent. Her father’s name is Todd Lindberg and her mother’s name is Sherry Sossamon, a nurse. She is the oldest of two daughters in the family. Her younger sister, Jenny Lee Lindberg, born in 1981, is a singer.

Shannyn and her sister were raised after their parents divorced their mother when she was just 5 years old and her sister was only 2 years old. Her mother then remarried Randy Goldman, who at that time worked as a manager of a car dealership and also as a salesman. Shannyn studied at Galena High School, where she also took dance lessons and graduated in 1995.
After graduating from high school she moved to Los Angeles and continued her dance studies there. Later she became a disc jockey (DJ) and was seen showing off her skills and performing at various venues, including several local clubs. Shannyn Sossamon Dating/Married
Shannyn Sossamon has found so many of her fans in her history who thought she deserved better. In 2002 Shannyn was involved in a romantic affair with Dallas Clayton, a writer, and illustrator, and by 2004 the couple had already split up again. But what seemed like a short affair produced a child – yes! the couple had a son together.
Audio Science Clayton was born on 29 May 2003, and although Shannyn claimed at the time that she was not yet ready for the experience of motherhood, she succumbed to the situation and enjoyed every moment. In fact, she disappeared from the spotlight just to focus all her attention on taking care of her pregnancy and embracing motherhood.
