Sherri Shepherd is an American actress, comedian, author, broadcaster, and television personality. She currently hosts the daily syndicated daytime talk show, Sherri. Previously, Shepherd worked as a co-host on the daytime talk show The View, where she earned multiple Daytime Emmy Award nominations. She is also known for her role in the sitcoms The Jamie Foxx Show, Less than Perfect, Sherri, Trial & Error and Mr.
Shepherd was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, United States. She completed her basic education from Winston Churchill Elementary School and Eisenhower Junior High School. Thereafter, she attended Hoffman Estates High School before joining trade school. There Sherri learned secretarial skills and started working for various companies. Sherri started working in 1990 as a legal secretary in Beverly Hills when she started her stand-up career.
