Simone Ashley is a British actress famous for her role as Kahani in Bridgerton (2022-present) and as Olivia Hanan in Sex Education (2019-2021). Growing up, she played the piano and sang classical music and opera.
After her family moved to Beaconsfield, she attended Beaconsfield High School and later Redroofs Theater School in Maidenhead for Year Six. Ashley also spent part of her teenage years in California, where she has relatives, and later went on to train in acting at the Arts Educational School in west London.
Her first acting role was in two episodes of Wolfblood as Zuhra. This was followed by appearances in the thriller series Guilt and Broadchurch. She made her film debut in 2018 with a small role in Boogie Man as Aarti and a more prominent role in Kill Ben Lyk.
