Stephanie Scurlock is an Emmy Award-winning American journalist who currently works as an anchor and reporter for WREG-TV, a CBS affiliate station in Memphis, Tennessee. She anchors News Channel 3 at 5, 6, and 10 every weekday. Scurlock counts her blessings for the opportunities she has had to use her profession to help those in need. Prior to joining WREG-TV, Stephanie worked as a news anchor in Texarkana, Texas at KTAL-TV.
She joined WREG-TV in July 1911 as a reporter and covered stories throughout the Mid-South. Her reporting assignments took her to the African continent. Stephanie traveled with the Tennessee Air National Guard to Dakar, Senegal, to report on a humanitarian mission.
The plane carried computers, clothing, school supplies and other necessities for children living in the country. She has chronicled the plight of Memphians as they struggle to overcome poverty and crime in their neighborhoods. Her work has also been recognized by the TN Associated Press. The organization awarded her Best Undertaking for her unique story following the struggles of a man battling drug addiction.
Stephanie serves as a board member of RISE, a charitable organization that helps Memphians achieve financial self-sufficiency. She has also served as honorary chair of the NAACP Membership Campaign.
