Tatiana Yadira Suarez Padilla is an American professional mixed martial artist who is a two-time bronze medalist at the world championships. She is currently competing in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). In 2023, Yadira won her last fight against Montana De La Rosa at UFC Vegas 70 via submission. She was also listed in the UFC’s top 10 women’s strawweight divisions.
Suarez was born and raised in Covina, California with Mexican ancestry. She attended school at Northview High School, where she graduated before going on to Lindenwood University. A year later, she dropped out of university to focus on her career. Tatiana began wrestling at the age of four, while her older brother was wrestling. In 2011, she was the #1 wrestler in the US at 55 kg.
In the following years, she was diagnosed with thyroid cancer, while training for the 2012 Summer Olympics. Due to the illness, she had to stop training to undergo radiotherapy.
