Taylor Temby is an American journalist from Colorado, United States of America. Currently, she is famous for being the sports reporter and news anchor for 9News in Denver, Colorado. Temby joined the 9NEWS sports department in Denver from September 2015 to 2019.
Temby attended the University of Colorado later working as the Director of Sports Information at the same institution after her graduation. She also worked in the media relations office for Colorado Avalanche.
Just like any other Colorado, Taylor loves outdoor events; whether it’s running, skiing, hiking or any other sport, she just likes to be active. Growing up, Taylor was a huge supporter and fan of her brother as she accompanied him to every hockey tournament he played.
In September 2015, Taylor joined the sports department at 9News. At this institution, she worked for two years on the morning show, doing most tasks, including reporting, filling in traffic, producing, filming and editing.
This job was not a heavy task for her as she had served as an intern in the sports department at 9News under the supervision of Drew Soicher and Rod Mackey. During this time, she was named the best intern of the decade for the 2000s, primarily because she showed up for her shift with fresh baked goods.
Prior to joining 9News, Taylor was working with KKCO 11 News in Grand Junction, Colo, an NBC affiliate as a weekend anchor. During her service there, she covered a number of national stories, including the Paige Birgfeld affair, visits by President Barack Obama, Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan, and the state’s deadly 2012 wildfires, to name just a few.
