Terry Bradshaw is a former professional American football player who played in the National Football League. He also served as a television sports analyst and co-host on Fox NFL Sunday. In fact, he is one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history.

Terry was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, to William Marvin Bradshaw and Novis Gay. He went to live with family in Camanche, Lowa, where he developed an interest in football.

As a teenager, Terry returned to his homeland alongside his parents. While there, he joined Woodland High School, playing with assistant coach AL Williams. Under his management, the team went to the AAA state championship game in 1965. However, they lost 12-9 to the Sulfur Golden Tornadoes.

On the same team, Woodland, Bradshaw set a national record for throwing the javelin at 245 feet (approximately 75 m). This earned him a spot on the illustrated Sports feature, Face In The Crowd.

After joining college at Louisiana Tech University in 1966, Terry rocked the media waves because of his reputation as an experienced Shreveport football player. He ranked second on the depth chart behind Phil “Roxie” Robertson. Robertson was a year ahead of him and always started in the 1966 and 1967 seasons.

In 1969, Terry was named by most professional clubs as the most outstanding college football player in the country. In fact, at his junior level, he collectively covered 2,890 yards, ranking first in the NCAA. Furthermore, he led his team to a record 33-13, 9-2 victory over Akron in the Rice Bowl.

At his senior level, he gained 2,314 yards, moving up to number three in the NCAA. He graduated with virtually all of Louisiana Tech College’s passing records at that time. Later, in 1984, Bradshaw was inducted into the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame. Furthermore, four years later, he inducted into the State of Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame.

After playing for several years with the Steelers, Terry retired from football on July 24, 1984.

Since 1994, Terry has worked as a television sports analyst as well as a co-host on Fox NFL Sunday.
