Tom Silva is an American building contractor known for his long appearance on the PBS shows This Old House and Ask This Old House. He also co-owns Silva Brothers’ Construction, based in Lexington, Massachusetts.
He began his career as a builder at a young age, helping his father and brothers build a shelter under their 1787 Colonial family home in Lexington, Massachusetts. Construtora de Seu Irmão built the first set for Jardim da Vitória.
He was later noticed by This Old House producer Russell Morash while they were working on a house. Russell invited them to become the show’s permanent fixtures in 1988. He’s been here ever since.
