Tony Aiello is an American journalist who currently serves as a general reporter for CBS 2 based at the CBS 2 Broadcast Center in Manhattan, New York. It streams daily from CBS 2’s Mobile 2, a pioneering technology that enables live streams from a moving car. Prior to joining CBS 2, he spent eight years covering news in the northern suburbs of WCBS-TV’s White Plains, New York office.

Over the course of his career, Aiello has worked on broadcasters as an anchor and reporter, including Milwaukee, WI., Nashville, TN., and Greenville, SC.

Aiello attended Indiana University, where he majored in telecommunications in 1985. During his days at Indiana University, he was a brother of the Phi Kappa Psi sorority and also a member of the prestigious Indiana University Student Foundation Steering Committee.

In 1996, Aiello moved to New York to work on Dow Jones & Company’s new radio station, WBIS+. Before moving to New York, he worked at network affiliates WITI in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and WTVF in Nashville, Tennessee, where he first used the nickname “Tony” on air. Prior to Nashville, Aiello used his given name, “Carm” in positions in Greenville, South Carolina, Charlottesville, Virginia, and Winchester, Virginia.
