Trace Gallagher Biography
Trace Gallagher is a well-known American journalist who currently works for Fox News Channel as a television news anchor and correspondent. Hand previously worked for Studio B and Fox Report as a general correspondent and replacement anchor. At The Live Desk, he also served as a co-anchor for the news show The Live Desk.
Trace grew up in Mammoth Lakes, California, a ski resort community. Before graduating from high school in 1979, he was the quarterback for the Mammoth Huskies football team. Gallagher later went to the University of San Diego, where he majored in finance and captained the Torero football team.
Gallagher previously worked at Orlando’s WCPX (now WKMG), Arizona’s KYEL (now KSWT), Las Vegas’ KVBC (now KSNV) and Boise’s KTVB. Trace began his career as a correspondent for the FOX News Channel in 1996, based in San Francisco. He also worked for Fox News in Chicago and New York.
