Trevor Noah biography
Trevor Noah is a South African stand-up comedian, political commentator, TV presenter, actor and producer. He is famous for being the host of American’s comic news show, The Daily Show on Comedy Central.
He began his career in 2002, still in South Africa, his homeland. This was through a role in an episode of the then South African soap opera Isidingo. He later began hosting his own radio show Noah’s Ark on YFM, Gauteng’s premier youth radio station. However, he dropped his radio show to focus on comedy.
In his comedian career, he has worked with other South African comedians such as; David Kau, Kagiso Lediga, Marc Lottering, Barry Hilton, Riaad Moosa, Darren Simpson and Nik Rabinowitz. He has also worked with international comedians such as Paul Rodriguez, Carl Barron, Dan Ilic and Paul Zerdin. Furthermore, he opened for Gabriel Iglesias Show in November 2007 and Russell Peters during his South African tour.
In 2011, Trevor moved to the United States. In January 2012, he became the first South African stand-up comedian to appear on the Tonight Show. Likewise, he became the first African to appear on the Late Show with David Letterman.
