Vincent Cassel is a renowned French actor. He rose to fame for his work in the film La Haine, for which he received two César Awards, for Best Actor and Most Promising Actor. Cassel has also received many awards, including the Canadian Screen Award, European Film Award, and Screen Actors Guild Award. He is also known for his role in films such as Ocean’s Twelve, Eastern Promise, Black Swan, Jason Bourne and Westworld.
Cassel was born and raised in Paris, France. He became known in 1995 in the film La Haine, in which he played a troubled young man living in the deprived suburbs of Paris. For his role in La Haine, Cassel was nominated for two César Awards, for Best Actor and Most Promising Actor. The following year, he appeared opposite Monica Bellucci in the melancholy French film L’Appartement, which was a successful film upon release. From 1998 to 2002, Cassel was cast in films such as The Messenger: The Joan of Arc Story, Dobermann, Brotherhood of the Wolf and Irreversible.
