Ving Rhames is an American actor who is famous for his role as IMF agent Luther Stickell in the Mission: Impossible film series. He is relatively famous for his supporting role as the Marsellus Wallace gang boss in Pulp Fiction. In addition to his film credits, he has appeared in Jacob’s Ladder, Dave, Striptease, Con Air, Lilo & Stitch, Stich The Movie, and Leroy & Stitch.
Born and raised in Harlem, New York, he attended and graduated from New York School of Performing Arts where he really developed his love for acting. After high school, he studied theater at buy SUNY which is where he got the nickname Ving from fellow acting student Stanley Tucci.
His first appearance was in the play The Boys of Winter in 1984. He starred in the 1991 film The People Under the Stairs as Leroy. Ving also played George Clooney’s boyfriend in Out of Sight.
