Nate Bargatze is an American-born comedian, actor, writer, and producer. As the son of an internationally acclaimed comedian who became a magician, Bargatze certainly had a pool of comedy genes to inherit. In addition to his innate talents, which manifested themselves at a young age, the all-around entertainer worked his way through the ranks to become a remarkable name in the comedy scene of the United States and beyond.
Bio (Age) – Who Is Nate Bargatze?
Nate Bargatze was born on March 25, 1979, to a Southern Baptist Christain family in Old Hickory, Nashville, Tennessee. He received his early education at the Donelson Christian Academy. After graduation, he worked, among other things, at the now-defunct Opryland Theme Park in a suburb of Nashville. He later worked as a water meter reader in Mt. Juliet, a suburb of Nashville. There he met Michael Clay, a colleague and aspiring comedian who eventually became his career partner. Together they moved to Chicago in 2002, where they joined the legendary improvisational theater troupe Second City.
While his friend Clay continued and eventually graduated, Nate Bargatze left the improvisational comedy school and decided to take a comedy course. During his stay in Chicago, he also started his showbiz career as a stand-up comedian. Later, Bargatze moved to New York, where he turned to comedy as his main profession. Over the years he refined and perfected his craft through numerous performances in various comedy clubs. He also won some of the biggest comedy festivals in the US, including the New York Comedy Festival and the Boston Comedy Festival, both of which he won in 2010. In addition, he received much praise from the critics at the Montreal Comedy Festival.

When he performed at a New York comedy club in 2012, Bargatze caught the attention of elite comedian and TV presenter Jimmy Fallon. A few months after this career-defining meeting, he was featured on Fallon’s late-night NBC talk show, The Tonight Show, starring Jimmy Fallon, which marked a major career break in his emerging career. His comedy debut album Yelled at by a Clown, released in September 2012, reached #1 on the iTunes comedy charts and also climbed to #2 on the Billboard Top Ten Comedy Chart. In addition to several appearances on the Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, Bargatze also earned a spot on Jimmy Fallon’s Clean Cut Comedy Tour 2013 alongside Julian McCullough and Nick Thune.
Bargatze also appeared on NBC’s Late Night with Conan O’Brien and in The Standups by Netflix. In addition to his other major sold-out performances, he has also toured several times for the US military forces in Iraq and Kuwait. Nate Bargatze was featured in Variety magazine in “10 Comics to Watch”: Comics to Watch: Class of 2015″. His second album Nate Bargatze: Full-Time Magic, which premiered on Comedy Central in May 2015, made it to the top of the Billboard Top Ten Comedy Charts.
His Wife and Daughter
As far as his family life is concerned, Nate Bargatze has so far kept a relatively low profile. While his wife is an important inspiration for much of his material, her identity remains largely unknown. However, it is known that she is from Huntsville, Alabama. According to Bargtaze, they married in 2007 and welcomed their first child, a daughter named Harper Blair, on July 8, 2012.
In 2018 the family moved from California to Bargtaze’s home in Tennessee. A multi-camera comedy series based on the move and other aspects of the family is under development, with Bargatze also serving as co-author and co-producer.

Parents and Family
It turns out that Nate Bartgatze is not the only member of his family who is famous for being incredibly funny. After overcoming an obstacle from his childhood that left him with a lisp, Nate’s father Stephen Bargatze started out as a clown and over the years has become an internationally acclaimed magician.
Stephen Bargatze also wrote a humorous column for the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA) and continues to serve as director of the association’s student services program. Nate grew up alongside a brother named Derek Bargatze. His uncle, Ronnie Bargatze, is a former Vanderbilt Commodores coach and also a radio commentator. So far we cannot say anything about the woman who gave birth to him, information about his mother is hard to get.
