Tony Revolori is the charismatic and spirited American actor who had his big break in Hollywood after starring as “Flash Thompson” alongside Tom Holland in the critically acclaimed superhero movie “Spider-Man: Homecoming”, produced by Marvel Produced and released in 2017. Prior to the Spider-Man film, he was popular with children for his role as Zero Moustafa in the 2014 film The Grand Budapest Hotel. Now he is being announced as the leading actor in a handful of upcoming films that could take him further up the ladder as a star; hopefully, retribution for his role as a tyrant in the Spider-Man sequel will be one of them. More interesting details are below.
Who Is Tony Revolori?
Tony Revolori (birth name Anthony Quiñonez) was born on April 28, 1996, in Anaheim, California, where he grew up as the son of Sonia Quiñonez and Mario Quiñonez. He decided to change his family name before he ventured into acting because he thought it was much cooler and more marketable than his family name “Quiñonez”. The name Revolori happens to be the family name of his paternal grandmother.

Career
Tony Revolori’s career as an actor began at a very young age. As a child actor, he appeared for the first time at the age of two in a commercial for baby food. Later he got his first big acting role in the comedy series The Grand Budapest Hotel by Wes Anderson, in which he played the role of Young Zero Moustafa. Soon after, in 2014, IndieWire dubbed Tony Revolori one of the best actors under twenty.
His groundbreaking starring role came after the cast of Flash Thompson in the 2017 restart of the Spider-Man movie (Spider-Man Homecoming), and following the movie’s box office success, Tony Revolori was subsequently signed to star in Hannah Fidell’s comic book film, The Long Dumb Road (2018).
Family – parents, ethnicity, siblings
You don’t have to be a fortune teller to see that Tony is not a typical Caucasian boy, and that’s because of the family he was born into. His father, Mario Quiñonez, and his mother, Sonia Quiñonez, are originally from Jutiapa, Guatemala, where they both worked as actors before immigrating to the United States. Tony has only one brother named Mario Revolori. Interestingly, Mario Revolori is also an actor, just like Tony and his parents. I guess the love and passion for the performing arts run in the family.
Why Did Tony Revolori Receive Death Threat?
With easy access to the Internet and social media platforms, it has allowed anyone from anywhere in the world to sit down comfortably and hand out just about anything that comes to mind, much of which consists of an increase in unpleasant criticism and unprovoked death threats to innocent people, including famous celebrities. Unfortunately, Tony Revolori is the latest victim of this issue. Recently, after playing the role of a tyrant in the Spiderman movie, he received a flood of hate mails and death threats, which he described as extremely despicable. Apparently, some Spidey fans took the subject a little too seriously when it came up.
Moreso, this hostile reaction resulted from the fact that his ethnic background and that of the character he portrayed in the comics were different. So it became clear that the threats came from racism. Although shocked by the hate mails and threats, he stated that he loved the role of Flash Thompson and really hoped he would not lose the role based on such heinous acts by very mean people.

Height
A career as an actor, especially in Hollywood, requires a certain amount of exteriority that fits the work. Apart from facial features, characteristics such as height, weight, body shape, and physique play a major role in casting, except for roles that require a certain appearance. Tony Revelori is a bit missing in the sizing department since his average height is 163 cm (5 feet 4 inches). Fortunately for him, most of the roles he has been given so far have been based on his acting talent and the fact that he fits the character description of such roles.
