Yashar Ali’s biography
Yashar Ali is an American journalist famous for having contributed to HuffPost, NBC News and New York Magazine. He was even included in Time magazine’s list of the most influential people in 2019.
Born in Chicago, Ali grew up in Oak Park, where he attended Holy Cross High School in River Grove. He later moved to Los Angeles where he worked as a television assistant on shows. Some of these shows included ER and Chicago Hope.
After some ups and downs in his career, he got a job with Kathy Griffin. H worked as a cook and personal assistant for Kathy. While working with Kathy, he began to build a following on Twitter.
As a journalist, Ali has covered some of the most followed stories in the United States. In October 2020, he reported allegations that Mayor Eric Garcetti witnessed sexual misconduct by his top aide, Rick Jacobs. He also revealed that Eric had been forcefully kissed by Jacobs many times. After that, his appointment as US ambassador to India was stalled over their allegations.

Following his reports, he reported on March 16, 2021 that television personality Sharon Osbourne allegedly used racist and homophobic slurs against several of her co-workers for years. On June 9, 2021, Los Angeles Magazine published a profile on Ali’s past and fame, written by Peter Kiefer.

He even criticized the journalistic process of Kiefer’s article, claiming that he was never informed of the allegations against him.
