Brooke Silverang is an American meteorologist who works for the WPBF 25 First Warning Weather team. Prior to working here, she worked as a meteorologist at WINK News in Fort Myers, Florida for three years and seven months.
Also, she was fascinated by the weather after Hurricane Andrew hit in 1992. She worked at KLFY in Lafayette. Las Angeles is in the heart of Cajun Country. She also worked as a meteorologist and reporter at WMDT in Salisbury, MD.
Previously, she had covered Hurricane Irma and other storms when she was on WINK-TV. She was involved in her local humanitarian society while living in Fort Myers, eventually promoting various animals. For two years, she worked in Lafayette, Louisiana, where she covered the historic August 2016 Flood, as well as being in the field during Tropical Storm Cindy who landed in southwest Louisiana.
Additionally, Brooke worked as a weekday general reporter and multimedia journalist, finding her own stories and writing scripts at ENPS and editing her footage. In addition, she attended Tallahassee Community College and Florida State University in Valencia, Spain. She later went on to graduate with a BA in Meteorology and a Major in Mathematics and Communication.
