Bree Smith is an American journalist who works as a news meteorologist for News Channel 5. Previously, she was a professional actress in films and on stage in New York City. Before joining News Channel 5, she was a weekend meteorologist for KSDK in St. Louis.
For five years, she worked tracking storms, historic floods, and tornadoes. She also worked with Al Rocker on the Today Show. In Baton Rouge, Bree worked for WVLA as a weekend meteorologist. As an intern in Florida, she served for WPLG-TV.
In 2015, she was the lead contributor to the Today Parenting Team. During her career, she has been nominated for an Emmy Award. She received a Weathercast Certificate of Merit from the Missouri Broadcasters Association.
