Jason Martinez is an American journalist who currently works at FOX29 as an anchor since joining the station in 2019 as a co-anchor of weekday news broadcasts at 5pm, 6pm, 10am and 11pm. he was the morning anchor on KGTV. His experience includes non-stop coverage of the devastating Lilac Fire that destroyed more than 200 homes, the international border conflict, immigration issues and the life crisis on the California coast.
Martinez is a sports fanatic who, as a child, played touring baseball with former Phillies great Chase Utley. After his education, he graduated from Chapman University in Orange, California. After graduation, he began his career as a reporter at WTVG in Toledo, Ohio. While there, he covered several important stories.
